Book Questions
Perhaps the most beautiful part of Old Cutler Road, the focus of this book, sits on the most northern part of the road, the stretch of asphalt right before the road loops into Cocoplum Circle. This picturesque stretch travels directly under the canopies and shade of enormous banyan trees, and we wanted the title to reflect this perfect moment, the moment all readers love when they drive along Old Cutler. Pictures of this exact moment are scattered throughout our book and make up the home page of this website.
The book is a product of Kaelen and Tiago’s imagination and love for Old Cutler - however, several friends and family contributed to the book in big and small ways: assisting with photography and photoediting, proofreading, and being consistent champions of the creators’ most aspirational dreams.
Our book is a square-shaped 10x10 inches and weighs approximately 5 lbs. It has a matted finish throughout on 157 gsm art paper and its cream hard cover is designed to fit a wide range of apartment décor styles (light and dark). Our book is 202 pages in total.
Follow our Instagram page, @canopiesandcoffee! This Instagram page will help promote the book, but also highlight the array of topics the book covers, from the places that make up Old Cutler, the people along it, the stories it tells and much, much more.
The overwhelming majority of the book was produced by the two of us and friends. We shot and edited all photos without AI, and generated all the section themes and personal passages from our imagination. Maintaining integrity throughout the book's development was paramount to us. That said, we leveraged AI to aid with book research, identify marketing tactics, proofread our text, and assist us with finding the precise flow and vocabulary for our copy. We mainly used its tools strictly as a digital copyeditor to polish our grammar, refine sentence flow and ensure the text was as sharp as possible.
